Airsoft Safety

Airsoft Safety????? Airsoft Safety

My son wants to buy a gun airsoft, but these things are really safe?

The short answer to this question, like many others, is "it depends". Generally, the person who uses it.

Airsoft guns can be very strong. Many entry level AEG or spring gun (less than $ 100) are not powerful enough to break a window. These guns fire 0.12 g or 0.20 g of plastic bullets. When shooting, they bounce off someone, causing a brief sting, which dissipates quickly. It is certainly a safer alternative to other wargames, such as paintball or bb gun 0177 Cal.

However, there is a sort of danger associated with airsoft guns. Watch the news. Each week, a police officer must arrest someone because they were waving the airsoft gun in public, and it has been confused with a real gun. Although this may occur, it can easily be avoided. Here are some basic tips to avoid danger when playing airsoft
1) Do not, for whatever reason, wave around the firearm in public, loaded or unloaded. This could be associated with a real gun and called police, and then it gets really disgusting. Just do not.

2) Wear safety goggles. Will understand.

3) Backyard airsoft is a no-no. Ideally, you should only play on the fields specifically designed for airsoft, but we do not live in an ideal world. However, before you start playing, it would be a good idea to inform neighbors and / or the police so that if someone reported a shooting, the police know what happens.

4) If an officer is running at you with a gun, drop the weapon, put your hands, and conform. Do not point the polieceman, because they do not know his probabally "airsoft gun. If they did, they would not be there. In addition, on the same subject, if you have a Gilly suit or something, do not hide and try not to be seen. They will find you.

5) Do not paint the orange tip at the end. Some airsofters do not follow this advice, but you really should not, because at a distance without the tip, you can not say that this is a airsoft gun.

6) I would not have mentioned this, but apparently I do. The puppies are not food. Do not eat

7) Do not shoot people not playing, fragile, or pets. Common sense.

8) Make sure you use the right equipment for the gun. Do not use regular gasoline in a green gas or CO2 pistol. Do not use .12 g bbs in a firearm that uses .20 (there is no difference in safety, but the .12 s are less accurate and are subject to spin-offs nowhere, which could hit something)

9) Try to avoid headshots. However, this is impossible.

10) I recommend using the "assignment" rule. If you're within 10 feet of the target, and they are not directly involved with you, you can ask them to surrender. They then have the oppertunity to take a hit without elimanate. Otherwise, fire away.

11) Do not someone does not play. If you get something from this, read this line. DO NOT TAKE on someone!

Well, I'm about done hiking. Email me if you have further questions.

Yes, they are sure to wear glasses and do not shoot people very closely

If your son is responsible, there is nothing to fear. Airsoft guns do not shoot at a speed high enough to do significant damage, but watch he wears a protective mask (paintball masks are best for the youngest, most areas allow a hood and goggles unbreakable protection 18 +) while others make him learn to cope with an airsoft pistol no different then a real gun.

It is as safe as you do, but keep in mind that airsoft guns are designed specifically for the security needs of shooting other people. Even at extremely high power levels they incapabl.
