For those who do not know the carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that is odorless, colorless and tasteless. This is why it is so important to protect yourself from your home or business from this harmful gas.

The new regulations require carbon monoxide detectors on each floor of the house and within ten feet of each sleeping area and in habitable parts of basements and attics. The alarm that you use must be approved by an independent laboratory such as Underwriters Laboratory (UL)

On September 6, 2006, the Council Regulation on the prevention of fires has adopted additional regulations requiring carbon monoxide alarms in residential buildings as transient hotels and motels, institutional buildings such as hospitals, homes Nursing and prisons, and child care and after-school programs. The legislature gave the owners of these buildings and those owned by the Commonwealth and local housing authorities until 1 January 2008 to complete the installation.
