Nothing matters more to a parent that their child's health and safety, especially when riding in a car. An automobile accident can happen in an instant and it is essential that the child is properly protected. Unfortunately, an infant car seat can not guarantee the safety of a child. However, a properly installed car seat can reduce significantly the risk of death or injury in case of a car accident. As a result, child safety seats are required by law in all 50 states.

For babies, a car seat is installed in the back seat of the car, facing backward and is attached to a base which is on the back seat. The base is firmly attached to the seat of the car with a seatbelt. It is important to ensure that the safety belt of the car is in the appropriate slots of the base. It is very important to ensure that the straps that hold the baby in the seat properly and securely attached and that the infant seat is reclined in the vehicle. Ensure that seat belts in the car are working properly and that the office has no visible damage as this can cause the seat structure to become weak and eventually fail under stress.
