Cosmetic SafetyFree skin care chemicals in Skin Deep: Database Security cosmetics

Since reading the book Living Green by Greg Horn, I was much more focused on trying to eliminate harmful chemicals in my life, especially in the field of makeup and body products. As the author points out, the skin is the largest organ of the body, why put something on your skin that you would not eat or can not pronounce?

With organic bath and so many independent companies and bodies out there on Etsy.com and the rest of the web, it's pretty easy to find soaps and lotions are all natural and do not include chemicals harmful. Some things are a little trickier ... makeup for example. There are some handmade mineral makeup companies as fabulous on Etsy.com Orglamix Mixology and makeup, which both sell a range of eye shadow, foundation and other mineral makeup that are free of toxins and chemicals found in some mineral makeup over traditional.

The thing that bothers me lately is really mascara. I have not really seen an independent solution for that one yet. Bit Ideal Others point dedicated to a non-toxic mascara, but I just found this great site through one of their other recent tips: Skin Deep, the base data security cosmetics .

This incredible site was launched in 2004 and provides easy to navigate safety ratings for nearly one quarter of beauty and body products on the market - over 27,000 products with more than 7,000 ingredients. I went to Crystal deodorant, shortly after having finished reading Living Green. I compared my old antiperspirant-deodorant, Dove, with the new deodorant on the list Skin Deep. On a rating scale security 1-10, 10 being the highest risk, Dove has a rating of 6 and my new deodorant Crystal has a rating of 0. Whereas many deodorants antiperspirants, have been linked to breast cancer, I'm really glad I decided to make this switch. I was very happy as I am now using crystal deodorant for about a year and I really like it. It does not last forever. It seems that almost everything is out of the cane. Yes, this is not a antipersperant, so if that's what you're after is not your solution. But antipersperants are not exactly good for you anyway. I love this kind of thing.

Skin Deep is a resource very interesting if you are concerned about the chemicals you put on your body. I recommend you a cheat sheet to find better alternatives for the entire store using the recommendations available at Skin Deep.
