Fire Regulations Scotland

Fire Regulations ScotlandBuilding Regulations in Scotland?

I am converting a double garage within a family room, laundry and garden shop. The existing partition between the garage and the house is fireproof according Reg. My question is what the new partition that I form between the new family room and garden shop should be fire too? I emphasize that my oil-fired central heating boiler is in the garage and will eventually be located in the garden shop after the conversion. Or fire partitions are ordered only necessary if the house is adjacent to a garage or a room that is kept in vehicles? I know that I should building control telephone, but it's Saturday and just wondering if anyone new rapid response. Ta.

Ask your building control local councils for advice, you should find very useful is that they are made with your tax.
They know what you can and can not do, unless you live in East Ayrshire
then you might have problems.
