Fire Safety Law

Fire Safety LawI live in a student house for rent with 3 other students. According to the law that the fire safety equipment should be provided?

I do not think the student house I am renting is in conformity with the standards of the United Kingdom for fire safety. What should my landlord to give the House to enforce the standards? Also does anyone know what the law or policy, I'd be looking at?

Extraordinarily No! We rent private property and they have no obligation of any smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc. etc. - these are the responsibility of tenants. However, if your property is rented to you by the University, then the standards may apply.
