Does anyone have experience with the update of wireless equipment monitoring required by the security company at home? I subscribed to the monitoring services of one undertaking home security monitoring. I have the equipment wireless security.
Recently, I was told that the government ask them to replace the analogue radio system tower with the tower radio digital. It follows that I must replace my equipment wireless security as well, otherwise it will not be able to connect to the radio tower. They charged me $ 100 for it. Since I'm still in a contract with them, I think I should not pay only $ 100.
So, does anyone have experience in this field? The new regulation for real? Customers actually pay for this upgrade required by government regulation, even when they are still in a contract?

WOW - Yeh it's for real. Our spectrum is fulll. The FCC has everybodies switchover that we have more of Freq. 'S available to us. Nextel is the largest models. affecting the transfer and the primary beneficiary. I hate Nextel and their power in our industry. I had no idea it would effect other things like wireless yours. Essentially, they are on you passind costs significantly. To complain and find another service provider. The model. Can absorb the costs of change, but I guess your trying to pass it on. The squeaky wheel ............. Try to say no to MS and be prepared to stand firm and go elsewhere.
