Other than having a dog in my yard, I'm looking for a list of issues to consider that I can establish a plan of the fortified house surveillance.

Start with these four major systems:

1. Locks & Alarms (locks are less expensive than alarms)

2. Motion detectors and sensors (Good for detecting break-ins and monitoring of intruder in the night)

3. Home Video Security (CCTV regular or mini-dome camera more sophisticated)

4. Wireless Security Camera (Good for remote monitoring with alerts sent directly to your cell phone)

Spiky thorny bushes planted outside your windows at first floor, the motion detector lights, reinforced doors that can not simply be expelled through equipped with locks that are difficult to recover (you'll pay more for them, but good).
