For $ 400, this is not a bad set-up 7.1. However, even if you
have a 7.1 surround sound receiver, you can get better sound quality
going with a 5.1 or 6.1 surround sound speaker system that gives
you better performance and superb performance for about a
similar prices. Here are some examples ...

I'm an audiophile and I absolutely love and recommend the line of Onkyo home theater receivers. I'm not a big fan of JBL speakers, like the bass sounds a bit brittle and bloated for me. For surround sound, I highly recommend the series Bose Acoustimass cube speakers 7.1 surround sound. They may be small but they pack a powerful punch and sound is absolutely incredible. In addition, the subwoofer is excellent and you will feel the effects of low frequency very well with her.
LOL an audiophile who likes Bose. That's a contradiction in terms!.
Stay away from the Bose if you have money to burn. The JBL has a very good sound for the money and the Onkyo will be easy to drive.
Word of advice to get a little better of his JBLs. In fact, much better sound. Update son-16min mark. I prefer 12 gauge, but thats just me. Also replace the cable under something of quality. Monster is expensive but it is good stuff. I used an Acoustic Research Pro Series undersea cable system on my friends because it would have a new sub. I convinced him that he was good enough for what he had and that the cable could make a word of difference capared cables he used dental floss. do not break the bank either and it sounded like a completely new and more powerful.
Good luck and have fun!
No, you would do better by purchasing quality speakers to a pair at a time. Begin your tour and from there.
