MarketplaceInfrared Light Sensor How can I block the infrared light from a CCD? I am a camera setup, where a camera is used with a telephoto lens of 35mm. In the process of the lens of the webcam stock has been deleted. This webcam actions had a lens with a coating which blocked infrared light. Without this the colors are distorted. What I need is a cheap way to block the infrared light, but without distorting the image. Photo stores sell filters that effect .. but they cost as much as the webcam $ 100 or more. CCDs are quite sensitive as far as 0.95, or 1 micron, while our eyes lose their sensitivity of 0.7 microns. In fairness to the community, not everyone sees the issues to be aware of the transmission curves and how the perception of color, but I suspect that most who do will also be able to find sources of filter. Flag abuse What did you with the objective of stock? Did you throw it?? You just need to buy another filter infrared camera. A hundred dollars for a filter looks like a lot of money. I can not offer a filter on top of my head, but there are several manufacturers of filters that can be useful. Try Kodak Wratten filters - camera stores data.
