Infrared Security Camera

Infrared Security CameraSecurity Camera IR Bullet What install?

I want to install security cameras in my house and do not know what type of cameras to be installed. I thought IR bullets. What do you think?

Here's a video demonstration and where I take my IR camera that I installed in the past that have worked on a size for me. If you want to see and record what goes on at night, you might consider another device for your installation.

If your home in a very hot or very cold and you plan to have these devices in place for an extended period, you may want to install a camera box or infrared camera with a large heat sink and fan built in. The cameras are a bit bigger and not as nice a house as small balls IR but will last longer, or you can simply install the small ball IR and see how long it will last before you have to replace.

If you want to be a little more discreet about cameras, you can install them under your roof over hang.

IR will be fine, if you intend to have recording cameras in the dark. The IR LED is not very long range, but typically a small room.

You also need a way to save them, either on your computer or on a dedicated video.

IR bullet style cameras are fine for general household use. If you want the best performance infrared system get a camera with most of the IR LED, you can find. Another suggestion for night photography best camera time is to use a motion light to illuminate the area you are trying to cover it with your camera. The most important thing for a large table is light and all the IR works, there is no comparison in the light of movement. Another advantage of the light motion is that it startled all intruders and they tend to flee at this point. The most important things to look for in a CCTV camera is the number of TV lines (resolution - the higher the better) and the lowest possible number LUX (light minimum necessary to capture an image). The first link below is a good retailer of video surveillance equipment and the second link is a wholesale distributor of CCTV equipment (obtain most of my stuff from them).

Basic shot IR home are available at low cost and do an excellent job for you. The main thing to consider is the actual distance of the IR. The smaller camera and less of the IR emitter so that the longer the distance that the IR will be effective.

The other option uses technology intensifier. These types of cameras will give you color images even in darkness where the IR cameras will be monochrome.

Look at the links below for a comparison between IR and the intensifier.
