Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Detector Manual

Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Detector ManualMy carbon monoxide detector just went off. After pressing the test button is OK now. What should I do?

I have a carbon monoxide detector NightHawk. At present, it is about 2:00 in the morning, and about half an hour, my alarm rang. On the alarm screen, he has clearly read "GAS". Needless to say I was panicked. I did not panic, but I pressed the button Test / Silence to get it to calm down. I started to read the owner's manual, and I reset the alarm. After changing the battery in and plugging it back in, it now reads zero, which is a good thing.

The thing is, I'm still scared. It clearly states that if the batteries must be changed, it would read "LB" for low dough. But I know that read GAS. I woke my mother to warn her, and of course she was reluctant to think something was wrong. We checked all our equipment and made sure everything was off.

I was actually two pieces for fixing the bacon in the microwave a few minutes earlier. LOL, I do not know if that would have triggered or not, but I do not know. I have a low-burning gas that was used this winter. I completely cut off gas supplies from there he can not even be tempted to be put into service today.

I opened some windows and turned on the fans. Both my mother and I are feeling fine. I checked all the symptoms and others, and we're both 100%, great feeling.

However, I am still worried. I do not call the fire department to come out and check things because I do not want to wake my neighbors at that hour, and considering that everything is fine now. Certainly, the alarm goes off again if there really was a threat, right?

I would also add that this alarm is probably about 2 years and is the first time the battery was changed.

Any help would be appreciated. My mom is back on the floor and will try to rest a little because she has work in the morning. I stay far, because, well, I'm always a little worried.

As I told you, the alarm clearly reads zero now.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I do not think it would be a big problem if you just call the fire department. and explain what happened.they probably know the phone what to do about it, if anything. prevention is better than sorry.it is not good if you just have to worry about it endlessly.also, perhaps there is a line #, you can call in your care manuel.take owner.

That is the problem of low battery, electronics mad when power is low. Earlier versions require a battery change every two years, the new range up to 6 or 7 years ago with newer models that plug into your electrical outlet and the batteries are just for backup power outage .
