Offshore Safety

Offshore SafetyCanadian employers have an obligation to provide safety training for offshore operations in other countries?

Hello, Canadian employers who send their employees to work in various parts of the world have an obligation to provide safety training for oil and gas work? Most companies require training as BOSIET Huet? However, it is not necessary for the local training when working in various parts of the world.

Thank you

You answered your own question. Canadian law can not apply on foreign soil. The big question is why would you work for a company that does not provide safety training to maximize the efforts of employees and increase their profitability by doing so. The employer would be stupid not to.
