Public Safety Jobs

I really want to have a job in public safety as a firefighter or a sheriff or something like that, but none of them make little money. Are there jobs that make decent money?

So fight against the fires did not look like it pays a lot every year, you need to look another way. Most departments of labor, 24 hours 48 hours rest. This equates to 120 posts or days worked per year. Only four months over 12 and you earn a decent wage for that period. And with the 24 on 48 off, it leaves you time to work a second job part time on days off. So overall, pretty good money for time spent in service. The only other career that pays for public safety is a very good paramedic, and they typically shifts as the DF do. Honestly, I think law enforcement should be better paid than any of us in public safety because of the nature of their work.

Police Chief ... but thats way in the chain of promotion.
