Realtor LockboxIs it illegal to disable a lockbox agency on a house foreclosure in California if you are a current tenant?

My husband took the battery to prevent customers from entering our unwelcome house when we are there. we are tenants and owner defaults were Sowe with estate agents pursue us, as we are animals and try to threaten us with the law, so my husband decided to solve the problem.
