Do you prefer Sigg or Klean Kanteen bottles? I know that Sigg bottles are aluminum and a special coating and are supposed to be safe. Has this been confirmed? The Sigg bottles are charged to a neutral taste. How does the safety and taste compared to Klean Kanteen?
I tried both and prefer the Sigg. The Summit Sigg bottles fit better / safer than the plastic on the top of Kanteen. The Kanteen tends to leak sometimes.
Sigg also keeps the water taste better than the Kanteen, especially after a day in your bag.
The Sigg do more easily than tooth Kanteen, but both are very durable. The Sigg is a little more difficult to clean because of the mouth more closely.
The Kanteen is made in China, and other cylinders (not Kanteen) have had problems with the toxic paint used by the Chinese.
Both are too expensive, but I recommend the Sigg, if you choose between the two.
Edit: Regarding the suggestion of Andrew's use of fuel bottles ... is simply a bad idea. Colouring Outside the fuel bottles may contain toxic metals. More importantly, the interior is lined with a coating approved by the FDA as Sigg, then you will get metallic taste (and perhaps the leaching of metals).
The design Sigg is slightly better. They both cost too much.
Look for backpackers aluminum bottles for the use of fuel. They are of the same material as these bottles and I was able to get them for $ 2 each on clearance.
They are the same.
