Safety Orientation

Safety OrientationThe advantages of video security policy for employees with
When new employees join a company, they are supposed to have a certain level of professional skills and be competent in their work. However, sometimes a part of the task requires more than skills. Making work well in any organization requires teamwork, a good understanding of corporate culture, and awareness of policies. New employees can not take this into account from anywhere else, except in the organization itself. Therefore, it is always a good idea to have some form of orientation of the company. Never dismiss the orientation just because time does not permit an employee and began working immediately. Doing this will create a stressful experience for the employee because he or she may have feelings of anxiety, since it is a new job. Allow time for new employees to settle, get to know their colleagues, environment and company policies better, and they will be more comfortable in their jobs and, ultimately, better results. So what are some of the orientation activities can be conducted? Here are some ideas you might consider.

Attach the new employees to senior management staff in the company. This person may be a colleague of the same level and should not be the direct supervisor of the newcomer. This will allow new employees to make new friends quickly and knowing there is someone to turn to if he or she needs help is certainly reassuring. Ask senior managers to new employees on a short orientation tour. The visit should not be pressed, as this would defeat the purpose of helping new employees to cope with feelings of anxiety. Show them in offices, workplaces and introduce them to other colleagues. Doing this will help new employees learn who is who in society, and who does what in the business very quickly. This insight will certainly help them in their duties thereafter.

To introduce company policies such as human resource policies, security policies, and so on, try to organize video viewing sessions instead of just throwing a thick manual for new employees and to tell them go home and read. The key here is to create opportunities for interaction. This is not only important for new employees, but for current employees as well. Existing employees will certainly get to know the newcomers better. And they are also more likely to help them feel more comfortable if they think they know that the new employees. So, create an opportunity for them to talk to each other. Let them ask questions after the video review, and allow senior management to provide the answers.

Perhaps unconsciously, through all interactions and orientation activities, new employees have a good overall impression of the corporate culture: how the company thinks and functions. This is possible only if time is invested in the conduct of orientation activities, so that no one should consider the guidance as a waste of time and must deal with such activities seriously.
