What engineering profession has better prospects (safety engineer from PLC / control engineer)? I have the opportunity to probabilistic risk assessment (nuclear) from my current position as engineer control systems (PLC / SCADA software design )....
Right now I do a lot of money because I get a lot of OT to support work, but I am interested in the position of others because I think it may suit my strengths and more (I am more conceptual than practical)
But I want to know what people think about the general outlook of the two career paths?
Thank you,
Nadeem
I'm willing to bet you that the PLC / Controls Engineer has more potential and I think more interesting. If you contact you will have the chance to travel more too.
The engineer PRA may be more stable if. Most nuclear plants are fairly comfortable jobs. However PRA seems to really horribly boring. You can also live in certain areas really boring with little travel.
