Is it possible to recover lost photos from a camera SD disk? I managed to load the software for my new digital camera. Somehow all my photos taken last Saturday have disappeared, but the disk and SD program I loaded the photos for pictures recognized numbered 38 and 39 only. I'm curious to know why nothing should exist now for photo 1-37. I think I may have accidentally erased while still in the camera, because they have not loaded my program.
Also during the use of this new camera with SD entirely new disc and new batteries, the device itself bound to extinguish. In addition to that there were occasions when the device battery power was changed between 1 to 3 beacons, then back to UO 3 tags, sometimes it says low battery and just stopped working. After a total of about one hour and 10 minutes of using the device has stopped working and refused to retract the lens the next day.
The next day I tried to verify what I had taken, and only 6 images appeared. Out of 33-37. What do I do now?
Sounds like your camera goes nuts. If you have a memory card reader connected to your computer, use it to check if your files are really lost. If, as the other person says, you can use the software to get your pictures back if you have not tried to take pictures.
When a memory card is erased, it really does not lose the pictures. The memory card is programmed just to think that the pictures are gone. As long as you do not take more pictures that write these files, you can retrieve them easily.
You will need a memory card reader though (see link below) and software to retrieve the photos. The problem is that you must pay for this recovery software unless you know how to look for cracking programs on the internet (I found a few).
In addition, most digital cameras that use regular AA or AAA batteries usually die on schedule. It is not unusual for them to chew through batteries in one hour. This is why most high-end cameras come with their own lithium-ion battery because they last much longer.
Sandisk has a program called Rescue Pro on their website.
its a demo (unless you buy it).
