Science, many scientists say, has been restored to his rightful throne because progressives have regained power. Progressives, called progressive emulate the cool detachment of scientific discourse. So listen to the calm, collected voice of a scientist richly honored by progressives, Rajendra Pachauri.
He is president of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which shared the 2007 version of the more bizarre of the Nobel Prize for peace. Denouncing those skeptical about the bitter certainty of those who say global warming is an imminent threat to the planet, he said:
"They are the same people who deny the link between smoking and cancer. These are people who say that asbestos is as good as talcum powder - and I hope they put on their face every day. "
