Webcam Motion Sensor

My father's shop was divided into one too many times and would like to set up a webcam software motion detector for images of the criminal the next time the store is broken into. I know that we can invest in a CCTV, but we compare all the options.

I know Logitech webcams these capabilities, but what I understand, they no longer offer these features on their latest equipment.
