Wet Chemical Extinguisher

Wet Chemical ExtinguisherFire clean dry experiments?

So here's the deal - my dryer fire before yesterday and I used a dry chemical (ABC) fire extinguisher. The powder extinguisher went everywhere. It was all over the kitchen, front room, living room, bed [and, unfortunately, my four months and changing table, etc.]. Eveeeeerrrrryyyyyywhere.

So I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on operations with the yellow powder residue in the carpet. I read that this stuff is not toxic, but is a major irritant, but if it is wet it can cause a slight corrosion. Well, I wanted to have the carpet steam cleaning to ensure it was, but now I fear that might cause problems? Also, is there a special paint to be used on the wall behind the dryer (which must be sanded and repainted), a sort of heat resistant fabric somewhere you can buy?

Thank you in advance for advice, which was a nightmare.

We have old Kenmore and it traps the top line.

You must clean each time before starting the dryer to prevent fires.
